OUR APPROACH – LEVERAGE SMARTPHONE TECHNOLOGY
Many consumers snap photos of items they love. Sharing photos is a great way to send not-so-subtle hints about potential gifts. We took that to a whole new level with GettaGift by using the built-in smartphone cameras as both a camera and a gift registry scanner.
Shopping for gifts is supposed to be fun and easy. We worked to keep it that way by designing for an amazing user experience. That GettaGift is also collaborative increases the fun-factor exponentially.
We designed the app to be delightful to use on both sides of the gift-giving occasion.
Not only is this good from a user experience standpoint, its also good for conversion. After all, we want gift givers to start creating and sharing their own wishlists
We faced a unique challenge with GettaGift from a user perspective in that we actually had two users to appeal to: the app user creating wishlists for themselves (to “gettagift”) and would-be gift-givers.
THE KEY TO
SUCCESS
Our developers immediately perceived the importance of keeping the app simple. Our marketing team realized the same as far as brand messaging went. As a result, all brand materials, from the website and landing page to social media and ads, demonstrate exactly how easy GettaGift is to use and love.
Another important factor is getting GettaGift into the hands of consumers. Webiotic conducted a number of marketing campaigns and worked its app store magic to get GettaGift a solid 5-star rating on the App Store.
